"Refreshing"

Last night some friends and I went to an establishment (bar) that I hadn't been to before. My main reason for going was to check out one of my favorite local bands, "Wicked Liz & The Bellyswirls." I had seen "Wicked Liz" a couple of times before and I must say that they did not fail to impress!

Wicked Liz is the lead singer for the group and she is an excellent talent. She brings a certain charisma and commands the stage wonderfully. It was very "refreshing" to listen to them play. Watching the band put on a great show, really helped forget some of my worries/thoughts lately.

Sure there were times when I thought about "Colbie" and how I wished she was there with me. I thought about how much she would enjoy it and how much fun I have with her. Sure there were times I was tempted to text her (even though I knew I wouldn't get a response back, the temptation was still there.) I doubt if she has even thought about me these last couple of days! But it was definitely nice to get away from things for a while!

Sometimes what it takes to get your mind of things. It's good to have a new scenery for a while. It was nice to watch Wicked Liz & The Bellyswirls rock out! You can really tell that they enjoy what they do! So I would like to thank "Wicked Liz" for helping me push some of my thoughts to the back of my mind and for providing a "refreshing" start to my break!

On a side note: I was woke up by my neice this morning tapping on my forehead :-), ate sushi for lunch, and spent most of the day playing poker at the casino. (and I won money!) So all in all, it's been a pretty good start to the weekend. Maybe things are turning around for me?!? Okay, okay, I better not get too carried away!
